A proper blog posting will follow in a few days but I wanted to give Tracey and Jeff a sneak preview of their engagement photos. I'm in Dallas right now about to fly to New York in a couple of hours. I'm super excited but I also miss my family a ton. Luckily Cyndie's flying out to meet me in NYC so I'll see her later tonight but I'll have to wait until Friday night to see Makenzie. I've had some awesome shoots this week here in Texas, so I'll be posting those soon and telling you more about the trip and some other cool things going on.
Ok I know its getting kind of rediculous. 3 in a week is good for me most of the time but I have so much goin' on right now that I need to let you guys in on that its just necessary. If you haven't seen them already scroll down and look at the awesome engagement and wedding I just posted.
I have a sweet wedding tomorrow that I'm so excited about. So that'll be on here in the next few days, but I also wanted to let all of my clients know that I'm going to be out of town for a couple of weeks beginning Sunday. I'm going to Dallas for about a week where I have a couple of engagement sessions and then I head down to Austin for another engagement session. Then I fly to New York for another engagement session! Cyndie's meeting me out there and we're going to hang out for a few days. Then its time to head home for some more weddings!
So for the next few weeks if I'm slow to respond to emails or phone calls please be patient with me. I'm not ignoring you ;)
Saturday Tyler and I shot Melissa and Chester's wedding at a restaurant in Orange Hills aptly named Orange Hills Restaurant. It is a beautiful restaurant at the top of the hills overlooking the valley and on a clear day you could probably see to Malibu. Its a pretty spectacular place. Instead of going on and on about how great the wedding was I'll just let you see the pictures and see for yourself! There are a TON again.
Flower Allie handled the flowers and did an incredible job. Carina handled the girls' makeup and did an incredible job. She's great to work with. I'd recommend her to anyone. This is Gio. Gio's Melissa's son and he's the man. Look at that hair. He should be in a Pantene commercial.
Melissa looked amazing.
Having bridesmaids like this is almost cheating. I didn't have to work too hard to make them look good.
Chester cleaned up nice too. The incredibly funny best man during his toast. Melissa and Chester's reaction. The other best man, Gio, rockin' his toast. He ended the toast by giving them his blessing... ...and their reaction.
I love this shot of the rings. Some sweet light on the cake. And finally, yours truly with the happy couple! I'm not sure why I have that deer-in-the-headlights look but whatever.
Wednesday I met up with Jolynn and David in Orange. I've been wanting to shoot down there for a while. Old Town Orange, especially near the circle is such a cool place... its almost like you've stepped back 50 years into another time... except for the fact that there are 2 Starbucks across the street from each other, on either side of the circle. Anyway, we had a great time. They have such a fun relationship and are so perfect for each other.
Several months ago I got an email from Meredith asking if I was available to shoot their wedding. Sadly, I was already booked but they wrote back a few days later asking if I could still shoot their engagement pictures. Of course! We'd originally planned to shoot up at the Griffith Park Observatory but last week found out that its closed on Mondays. We changed the location to Union High School in Fullerton and shot there and at a park nearby. Its a good thing we changed it because last week the area around the observatory was burned in a wild fire. Good for pictures? Not so much.
They were so great in front of the camera and were a ton of fun, up for anything I asked. Now I'm dissappointed I can't shoot their wedding!
